David Windsor is an award-winning PGA of America Teaching Professional with over 20 years experience. He is considered one of the country’s foremost experts in teaching the physically challenged, or Adaptive golfers as we say. David’s dedication to teaching individuals of all ages and abilities has led to six North Florida PGA Section awards, including “Junior Golf Leader” in 2006 and 2010, “Teacher of the Year” in 2008 and the “Patriot Award” in 2011, 2014 and 2015, leading to his selection as the PGA of America 2015 National Patriot Award recipient. This award was given for his unwavering Patriotic contributions and dedication to disabled Veterans and members of the Armed Forces from World War II to Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts.
Since 1999, David has developed and instructed multiple adaptive golf classes on a weekly basis, for physically challenged juniors, adults and disabled Veterans. With this extensive program experience and knowledge of these processes, David founded the Adaptive Golf Academy in 2006 (www.AdaptiveGolfAcademy.com), to provide an education platform with an Adaptive Golf Coach training workshop for more continuity, safety and effectiveness in all programs.
